Macon County Art Association is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to promote visual art and develop artists of all ages and skill level within the community and local region. The Uptown Gallery located at 30 Main Street in Franklin, North Carolina, is a cooperative art gallery promoted amd sponsored by the Macon County Art Association. (MCAA)
Our members strive to enrich the community through art education, by offering such opportunities as workshops, classes, lectures and scholarships. We also host a “Thursday Painters Group”,sponsors monthly educational meetings and participate in fundraising opportunities for our local school arts programs and other charities. The Macon County Art Association and the Uptown Gallery welcome and encourage the general public to attend meetings, programs, classes and events.
